Writer Josh Oaktree is the managing director and founder of Oak Tree Comics, an independent comics publisher for young readers with an emphasis on stories that champion environmental and social justice. After receiving his MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute, he co-wrote a book of memories about his grandfather with his cousins. The book is titled Did You Boscov Today? Do You Speak Tree? is his second book. When not creating, Josh feels most at home atop a mountain, tree limb, or unicycle.

Creative director Amelia Boscov oversees the development of original stories at Oak Tree Comics. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch where she majored in film and TV and was a co-director for NYU's Fusion Film Festival. Her storytelling focuses on women, the LGBTQ community, and environmentally conscious and lighthearted comedies. Amelia writes, directs, and creates stories in print, on screen, and in yarn.

Illustrator Josiane Vlitos gravitates towards eco-conscious storytelling. Since graduating from Emily Carr University with a degree in Communication Design and an illustration focus, she has illustrated two environmentally-minded picture books. Do You Speak Tree? is her latest. Her first book, Bee Friend, is about a boy befriending a bee. The story was partially inspired by her English childhood. When she's not drawing, you can find her with her nose in a book or her head in the clouds.
