Strike Action List

This information is for the January 22-26 2024 strike. 

What to wear and bring.

Wear red! A CFA shirt is preferred. We will have some shirts on hand for those who do not have one. Wear sunscreen and layers as the temperature changes. Consider hats, gloves, and sunglasses depending on the weather. Comfortable shoes are a must.  You are welcome to bring musical instruments, noise-makers, your own picket signs, and anything else you think might be useful. Bring the whole family, including friends, family members, and kids. 

Park in parking structure 1. 

The goal is for campus to look as empty as possible, so please park within a parking structure. We recommend parking structure 1. Carpooling and a ride share is highly recommended. 

When you arrive.

Sign in at the CFA table at Kellogg and Red Gum. Grab noise-makers, whistles, and other picket gear. There will be three main picket locations. 

Be aware of media presence.

We need media to cover the strike to put pressure on the CSU to deal fairly. Refer media inquiries to picket captains, who have a list of media liaisons. Avoid going on camera with people you do not know, as not all requests may not be made in good faith.

When you need to leave.

Drop off signs for others to use. Be sure you pick up all trash and dispose of it so we leave the area clean.
