Liberal Studies Professor Announces New Exhibit in Los Angeles

A new exhibit titled “Afro Atlantic Histories” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) currently features neon sculptural research-based works of art by Liberal Studies Assistant Professor Maya Stovall (Neon Theatre). “Afro-Atlantic Histories” charts the transatlantic slave trade and its afterlives in the African diaspora to reexamine the histories and stories of enslavement, resilience and the struggle for liberation from a global perspective.
