Ace Women's Network Conference 2023

The Annual American Council on Education (ACE) Women's Network Conference took place on October 6, 2023 at Kellogg West, Cal Poly Pomona.

The ACE Women's Network of Southern California is part of a national group that brings women together who are in the field of Higher Education. This network has been going on for more than 25 years and provides support for women to thrive and grow within Higher Education. 

This year's conference focused on women thriving in Higher Education. Cal Poly Pomona President Soraya M. Coley was awarded the 2023 American Council on Education (ACE) Donna Shavlik Award. This award honors an individual who is committed to supporting women in advancing in higher education. President Coley has spent decades working in the University System where she continuously has supported women to grow and promote within Higher Education. Congratulations President Coley! 

Keynote Speaker: Melissa Majors author of The 7 Habits of Inclusive Leaders, gave an inspiring presentation on challenges that women face in professional settings. Lunch followed where women connected, bonded and got the opportunity to nerwork. The afternoon portion of the conference brought many emotions as Melissa Majors and Andrea Handy hosted a series of exercises that provided tools and seranrios to help women thrive in their working profession.
