10 Years of Educational Leadership Doctoral Program

The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education and Integrative Studies celebrated 10 Years of the their Doctoral Program and hosted an event, 10 Years Doctoral Graduates and Distinguished Author Institute. Members from all 10 cohorts were in attendance, along with faculty, Dean Jenelle Pitt-Parker, and President Coley.

Nine out of 10 cohorts shared their expirence while in the program and shared their success after graduating from the program and the impact it made on them. A rose ceremony was held for the tenth cohort, who will be graduating on May 20th. Each student in the cohort was given two roses two give to loved ones who support them during the program.

Chair, Dr. Betty Alford, Dean Pitt-Parker and President Coley shared remarks on the anniversary and program. Key note speakers, Dr. Christine Sleeter presented on ethnic studies implementation and Dr. Rebecca Burciaga's presented on her journey as a scholar for equity and justice.

Congratulations to this outstanding program! The new cohort begins on June 1st.
