Role in the Center: Advisory Board Member
Dave Ramos is an innovative, technical, and strategic leader with an action-oriented mindset to identify, define, and implement enterprise data solutions. Currently, Dave is the Senior Manager of Data Science and Engineering Operations at the Walt Disney Company in Burbank, California, where he has worked since 1997. He has over twenty years of experience in consumer insights and data science, including data mining, measurement, and analytics. In the past several years, he has overseen the development of expert troubleshooters, analytical thinkers, and problem solvers. He has also implemented automated analytics-oriented solutions and decision support systems by leveraging machine learning and data science, among other responsibilities. He first started associating with the company while he attended college as an intern. After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he restarted his association with the company again as a Guest Services Manager of Attractions at the Anaheim Disneyland location and then worked as a Technical Specialist for eight years. He then went on to become the manager of Consumer Insight Technology (10 years) before he took the position of senior manager of Consumer Insight Technology and Data Services for five years, which is the position that he held previously prior to the current position. Dave earned a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 2005.

Dave Ramos graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an emphasis in Management and Human Resources. After some time in the workforce, he decided to go back to school and strengthen his knowledge and skills in the computer information field. While working at the Walt Disney Company, he was able to earn a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix Online.
Currently, Dave Ramos is the Senior Manager of Data Science and Engineering Operations at the Walt Disney Company in Burbank, California. He has over twenty years of experience in consumer insights and data science, including data mining, measurement, and analytics. Dave has been with the Walt Disney Company for most of his professional career with over 15 years at the world-renowned company. It is through his time at the Walt Disney Company that he has acquired his vast amount of experience and knowledge in consumer insights and data science.
After his formal education, Dave started as a Guest Services Manager and later moved on to both the Manager and then Senior Manager positions of Consumer Insight Technology and Data Services. It was his experience in these roles that gave him the skills and opportunity to take on his current position as the Senior Manager of Data Science and Engineering Operations. Some of his expertise include: multi-site technical team leadership, data analytics and visualization, and cost analysis and resource management.
Dave Ramos has been a speaker at center events, including Analytics and Marketing Insights Club, sharing his various aspects of his job, his company, and career opportunities. His guest speaker event, “Star Wars and MRC, the Force is Strong with Both,” was where he shared his extensive knowledge on consumer insights and how he applied his experience throughout his time at the Walt Disney Company.
