Linda Bisesti

Linda Bisesti, SAG-AFTRA, AEA, has a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from Boston University, School for the Arts. Emeritus Professor Bisesti is the former Head of Acting at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in the Department of Theatre and New Dance. Professor Bisesti taught voice, accents, Shakespeare in Performance, and Advanced Styles. She served as text and vocal coach for departmental productions and directed over 35 plays.  Linda was the Artistic Director of The Southern California Shakespeare Festival for 17 years, the last season, 2021, with the filming of King Lear.  Guest Artist positions include the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Virginia the Gaiety School of Acting, the National Theatre School of Ireland, Fortune’s Fool Productions in Ireland, and Wellesley College Summer Theatre among others. For the prestigious Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, KCACTF, Region 8, her production of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel, Cal Poly Pomona, one of the 6 invited productions for the best production 2018.

A SAG-AFTRA, AEA actor, Linda’s credits include feature films, Billy Comes Home, Marina Del Rey Film Festival, 2023, Best Supporting Actor, From Hollywood to Rose, Best Comedy, Hollywood Independent Reel Festival, 2018 Killing Time (Sundance Film Festival); The Poughkeepsie Tapes (Tribeca Film Festival).  Partial TV credits recurring role, The Conners, ABC, Netflix’s Ratched, CBS Pilot: Cagney and Lacey; Pretty Little Liars; Monk; Criminal Minds; Brothers and Sisters; The West Wing; The Practice and How to Get Away with Murder. Linda’s regional theatre credits include the critically acclaimed Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company as Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice, Osric in Hamlet at the Odyssey Theatre and Sir Andrew Aguechek in Twelfth Night. Partial East Coast regional credits include Shear Madness, Boston’s Charles Playhouse and West Coast credits, Inspecting Carol at the Laguna Playhouse for which she won a Backstage Award for best comic performance, For Southern California Shakespeare Festival credits include Goneril, King Lear Tamora, in Titus Andronicus, Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, Gertrude in Hamlet.
