Madeline Mann

Madeline Mann is an HR & Recruiting leader who spun her insider knowledge of the hiring process into an award-winning career coaching empire with millions of lives impacted, called Self Made Millennial.

Mann is known for turning job seekers into Job Shoppers, to enable any professional to land high-paying job offers for seemingly unattainable roles. Her coaching program Standout Job Search has led to thousands of success stories and her clients have landed roles at companies such as, Netflix, Google, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, NBC Universal, Amazon, and more.

Mann's work has been featured on ABC, Bloomberg, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Insider, to name a few.

Magdiel Cisneros

Magdiel is an experienced sales consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. He has a strong understanding of finance, sales operations, Internet of things (IOT), cyber security, cloud, and network infrastructure.  He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Human Resources. In his spare time, Magdiel serves as a director for the Alumni Association’s Latin Alumni Network at Cal Poly Pomona.

Karam Tascoe

Karam Tascoe is a Sr Modern Work Specialist with Microsoft supporting K12 and higher education customers on the west coast and Hawaii. Karam has been in technology for over 20 years. He is originally from Savannah GA but currently resides in San Diego with his wife and two children. His interest in technology stems from 6 years in the Georgia Army National Guard as a Forward Observer.

Natalie Will

Natalie is a Human Resources leader with over 15 years of experience in implementing short and long term corporate human capital plans, which include maintaining/improving legal compliance, employee relations, talent acquisitions, succession planning, compensation & benefits, and performance management. Her previous experience is in servicing industries such as consumer goods, cosmetics, food & beverage, manufacturing, music & entertainment, private equity, public accounting, real estate, restaurants, and retail chains while overseeing company headcounts up to 2,500 employees in multi-state locations.  Natalie graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Human Resources.

About the Tracks

Emerging Track

This track is right for you if you are seeking more information and/or beginning to form your career development plan. We will help you get started on resume, LinkedIn account and familiarizing yourself with Handshake. 

Intermediate Track

This track is right for students that have started their career development plan and have a working resume. This track will give students an opportunity to review and strengthen and build upon the resources they have created. 

Advanced Course

This track is for students that are ready to engage with employers and/or actively seeking employment. We will assist you in fine tuning your resources and provide guidance on securing a job.

Conference Registration

The Career Readiness Conference will be held on Friday, September 13 at the Bronco Student Center. The morning begins by checking in to receive your conference badge in front of Ursa Major. This event is FREE to all Cal Poly Pomona students. Continental breakfast, conference swag and lunch will be provided.

Things to Know Before You Register:

Friday, September 13 at the Bronco Student Center. Check in opens at 8:30 a.m. outside of Ursa Major. 

No, this event is sponsored by the Office of Alumni and External Relations, the Career Center and a grant from the CSU Alumni Council.

Yes, the conference is open to students from all majors and colleges.

Yes, please take a moment to register so we can make sure we have enough swag items and don’t run out of space.

A full day is not required but encouraged to help you prepare for the Career Fair.

After registration through Handshake you will be receiving a link to sign up for the sessions you would like to attend. Space is limited. Please look out for an email from the Career Center to secure your conference schedule.

Yes! Please make sure you register for the continental breakfast, lunch, and networking reception.

We are providing all registrants with an opportunity to  take their headshots for their LinkedIn account. While you do not need wear business attire, business casual attire is recommended- especially for your headshot.  Business casual attire includes a polo or collared shirt, or blouse.

We have you covered! Please visit the clothes closet at the CARES Center if you need assistance.  

Please bring a copy of your resume with you.  We will also be providing all registrants with essentials. You can also upload your resume in advance at the Career Center website for review.
