Hostetler Honored
The university honored Plant Science Professor Dan Hostetler at the annual Provost’s Awards for Excellence Symposium on Feb. 19.
Hostetler was selected for the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Service. He served as department chair for 20 years and has served as farm supervisor for 38 years. He was instrumental in developing the Farm Store, AGRIscapes, and Horsehill Vineyards. Hostetler is one of the managers of the Pumpkin Festival and has secure hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships and donations to support the College.
The event included a catered reception, live entertainment, and brief presentations by Hostetler and fellow honorees, English & Foreign Languages Professor Alison Baker and Biological Sciences Associate Professor Angel Valdes.
