Animal Science Ranked Among Nation's Best

Cal Poly Pomona was ranked as one of the top 30 Best Colleges for Animal Science, according to a website that offers college-related guidance.

The animal science program was rated 29^th in the nation and fifth-best on the West Coast by College Transitions which runs a website and produces an annual guide called “Colleges Worth Your Money.”

Each of the universities “offer programs that are viewed favorably by both graduate schools and employers, making them ideal landing spots for animal science majors on various tracks,” College Transitions noted.

“Additionally, these best animal science colleges all offer excellent animal facilities and laboratories and offer students a plethora of hands-on learning opportunities,” the publication said.

College Transitions says its website attracts nearly a million visitors a month, while its “Colleges Worth Your Money” guide highlights 200 institutions that offer outstanding undergraduate education and return on investment.
