Pre-Vet Alum Wins $100,000 for Tuition

A pre-vet alumnus won $100,000 in the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway Contest at the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on Dec. 7.

Christian Aguirre ('24, animal science) beat out another finalist during a halftime contest to see who could throw the most footballs into a basket. 

Christian hopes to use the money to pay for vet school tuition.

The finalists were chosen after they submitted a short video about their academic goals, professional aspirations, or personal dreams and how they would use the tuition.
