College Holds First Pumpkin Preview Night
October 5, 2022
Good food. Beer and wine tasting. Hayrides.
The Huntley College of Agriculture's first Pumpkin Fest Preview Night had all three in abundance on Friday, Sept. 30.
More than 300 people attended the event, which was held in the pumpkin patch the night before the annual Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Fest began.
Preview Night featured food, beer, and wine tasting.
About 20 local restaurants, food vendors, and chefs participated, providing culinary creations from Asian, Mexican, and country cuisine. Many of the dishes included produce from the Cal Poly Pomona campus farm.
The university's very own Innovation Brew Works made six different types of beer for the event and also contributed root beer floats and food, while Horsehill Vineyards provided wine made from grapes grown on campus vineyards.
Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Huntley College.
