Faculty Recognized for Mentoring Students

Four Huntley College of Agriculture faculty were honored for their work mentoring undergraduate students in conducting research.

The faculty members were recognized by the university’s Faculty Mentor STARS program for mentoring a “Research Distinction” student.

Research Distinction students conduct a minimum of six months’ research under their faculty mentors’ guidance, present their project at a conference or symposium, and published their research in a journal or repository.

The faculty members honored were (pictured above, left to right):

  • Associate Professor Olive Li (Nutrition and Food Science)
  • Assistant Professor Helen Trejo (Apparel Merchandising and Management)
  • Assistant Professor Xu Yang (Nutrition and Food Science)
  • Lecturer Holly Greene (Animal and Veterinary Science)
