8th International Conference on Lattice Path Combinatorics & Applications
The 8 th International Conference on Lattice Path Combinatorics and Applications (DOCX) will take place from Monday, August 17, 2015 to Thursday, August 20, 2015 on the campus of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) located in the city of Pomona, California, USA. The Conference will be dedicated to Shreeram Shankar Abhyankar (1930 - 2013) and Philippe Flajolet (1948 - 2011). We also plan to honor George Andrews and Lajos Takács . Please see the history of the International Conference on Lattice Path Combinatorics and Applications (PDF) presented by Sri Gopal Mohanty.
George Andrews has agreed to give a talk entitled Congruences for the Fishburn numbers on joint work with James Sellers. Cyril Banderier will give a talk on "The analytic combinatorics point of view of Philippe Flajolet on lattice paths."
See the schedule for the days and times of the speakers and conference events.
The Conference registration payment (excluding the $30 undergraduate student per diem registration charge) will cover the cost of dinners on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and lunches on Monday-Thursday. If you have not already registered, you are encouraged to register for the Conference online as soon as possible. All of these meals will take place at Kellogg West except for the Wednesday night banquet. The Wednesday banquet is scheduled to take place from 7-10 pm at the Kellogg House on campus. Dinners come with a biographical presentation on one or two of our Conference honorees or mathematical entertainment. Subject to availability, a limited number of banquet or dinner tickets will be available for sale on campus to unregistered guests.
If you are arriving to Pomona by plane on August 16, please let us know your airport and estimated time of arrival by emailing this information to ackrinik@cpp.edu. We are considering trying to set up shuttle arrangements for Conference participants landing at LAX on August 16. If you are flying into Ontario International Airport, there is a Kellogg West Hotel shuttle to transport you free to your hotel. However, to use the Kellogg West shuttle, you must be staying at Kellogg West and you need to make a shuttle appointment with Kellogg West 48 hours prior to your shuttle usage.
